How do I get from Learmonth Airport to Exmouth Town?

Many a holiday maker gets caught short when they fly into Exmouth as the presumption is that the airport is 'in town.' Well, it is at least a thirty minute drive from Learmonth Airport to Exmouth Town.

So, how do you get from Learmonth Airport to Exmouth Town?

Catch a Taxi. There are only a few taxis in Exmouth. Taxis do not necessarily meet each aircraft arrival however can be booked by calling Exmouth Taxis on 0409 994 933.

Airport Transfer Bus. By far the safest option if you have not planned ahead. Simply (on arrival to the airport) present yourself to the Exmouth Bus Charter desk and book your seat on the bus. It will deliver you directly to your accommodation. You can contact them on their site www.exmouthbuscharters.com.au

Exmouth Bus Charter operates airport transfers between the Town of Exmouth and the airport and other key locations in Exmouth.  Each bus is fully air-conditioned with a door-to-door service making it the ideal choice.

Prices per one-way trip are below.  Note: Child is 5-15 years and infants under 5 are free for all services.

  • Sea Breeze Resort                                         43km                $45/Adult, $35/Pensioner, $25/Child
  • Light House Caravan Park                          55km                $70/Adult, $50/Pensioner, $50/Child
  • Exmouth Aerodrome/Industrial Estate   27km                $30/Adult, $25/Pensioner, $20/Child
Airport transfers to Coral Bay are provided by Coral Bay Bus Transfers. Bookings are essential - phone 0427 180 568.

Hire Car Providers.

Four rental car companies operate rental booths in the airport terminal. In general, the booths are staffed during flight arrival periods:

Please note that there is a surcharge applied to rental car hire rates due to the distance of the airport from town.

Hitching. Well....just not recommended as conditions are often hot and you are a long way out of town!
