Exmouth Ningaloo Centre

Opening in 2017

Exmouth Ningaloo Centre is a state-of-the-art attraction currently under construction located on Murat Road.  Completion is expected by April 2017 which coincides with the start of the Whaleshark season.  The centre will be the perfect place to start off your holiday learning how to explore the Ningaloo Coast World Heritage area

The official opening will be on Friday 15th September 2017. This will coincide with the 50 year Anniversary of the Town of Exmouth and the Harold E Holt Naval Communications Centre. From Friday to Sunday there will be something for everyone to enjoy.  For more information and details on events please click here.  Updates of events will be available from June 2017

Exmouth Ningaloo Centre will incorporate a Visitor Centre, Function Centre, Ningaloo Gallery and Marine & Regional Displays

Visitor Centre

The new visitor centre will offer information on Exmouth and surrounds. You will also be able to book tours and browse the gift shop. What a great opportunity to take home a special memento of your holiday.

Function Centre

The function centre will be fully equipped to accommodate a range of activities and will include conferences, trade shows, special celebrations and much more

Ningaloo Gallery

The gallery will host travelling exhibitions for local and external art and museum displays

Marine and Regional Displays

The centre will have 3 interpretive display areas including interactive exhibitions and regional information
  1. 'En Route to Exmouth' area will present the rich history of Exmouth and it's surrounds
  2. 'Reef to Range' area will include a Marine Display of the Reef and Exmouth Gulf.  The centrepiece  of this display will be an aquarium showcasing the live specimens of local marine species
  3. 'Terrestrial Exhibition' will feature the region's unique cave systems that are around the ranges and dunes.  There will also be displays on our unique flora and fauna including rare species
Exmouth Ningaloo Centre will house the only marine research centre between Perth and Darwin and will become the educational and research hub for marine-based studies in Exmouth.  Visitors will be able to engage in the science, education and research of these displays

For the younger visitors and locals there will be an indoor play area and toy library. Ideal for those very hot or rainy days.  In addition outside will have a nature playground for climbing and exploring

Exmouth Ningaloo Centre will soon become a 'must do' on every visitors itinerary
