GAMEX 2017 - Western Australia's Premier Game Fishing Competition

UPDATE: GAMEX, Exmouth's game fishing competition, is over for another year! Thanks go out to all who supported and participated in this year's event, and huge congratulations go out to all the winners from each competition category! Time to look ahead to 2018 GAMEX  when it returns to Exmouth in March for the HUGE 50th anniversary celebrations - looking forward to seeing you there!

For all accommodation bookings over the GAMEX dates in 2018 we have 10% OFF - enquire today to secure your booking.

This year's GAMEX tournament will go from Friday 17th March 2017 to Saturday 25th March 2017 held by the Exmouth Game Fishing Club.

Exmouth GAMEX is Western Australia’s premier fishing event. Teams are offered the chance to compete for around 23 different prize categories with over 35 species of game fish.  Included are all six Australian billfish species in the waters just off Exmouth.  There is no other fishing tournament in Australia that offers so much within such a short distance from shore.

Accommodation in Exmouth is at a premium over these dates. Holiday Houses are the most economical and practical way to house a group of fishermen on a budget. Marina holiday homes are the most popular with private jetties often a welcome bonus for those wanting to keep their boat in the water for the duration.

Gecko and Whaleshark have private jetties. Dugong and Wave have 'tie along side' facilities against the canal wall of the property. Seaview, Fern and Dunes are all spitting distance to the Game Fishing Club and all the activities, they however do not have boat mooring facilities.

Gamex 2017 Offers a Wealth of Activities

The event has more to offer than just a fishing tournament as the GAMEX social calendar features ladies functions, children's clinics, celebrity chefs cooking local fresh products from the ocean and outback, cooking classes, family fun days and dress-up evenings

The event also has educational sessions, scientific studies and product information for everyone
